These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
De Leeuw misses the shot to the body.
De Leeuw dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Plainview. That did some damage!
Plainview is looking to slow De Leeuw down with leg kicks.
De Leeuw displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.
It looks like Daniel Plainview has been cut.
De Leeuw 's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Plainview connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! De Leeuw scrambles back to his feet.

De Leeuw lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by De Leeuw .

A bone on bone clash there as Plainview blocks the leg kick.

De Leeuw lands a really nice looking cross but Plainview seems unphased.
Plainview tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but De Leeuw paws at him with a jab and circles away.

De Leeuw lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Plainview is rocked!
Plainview is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down De Leeuw rather than just go for the knockout.
Plainview drops his hands momentarily. De Leeuw doesn't need a second invitation, landing a shot to the temple. Plainview staggers and falls to the mat and the ref dives in to save him from any more punishment. Plainview doesn't seem happy with the stoppage but he was done.

Nando De Leeuw tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
