Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Gale Gold (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Briggs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gale Gold could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to James Briggs's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gale Gold!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

12 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, James Briggs!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Saam Ante and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gold displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Briggs.
Gold stuffs the takedown attempt from Briggs. Briggs gets slowly back to his feet.
Gold scoring well with a low kick there.
Briggs throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Gold's waist but Gold gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Briggs off to one side.
Gale Gold has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of James Briggs.
Gold throws a nice inside leg kick.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Gold.
Briggs drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Gold defends it well.
Gold is looking to slow Briggs down with leg kicks.
Briggs dives in for a single leg takedown but Gold sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Gold feints and then cracks Briggs's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Briggs down.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gold fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Briggs.
Gold throws a sloppy head kick and Briggs moves out of range easily.
Briggs scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gold parries the strikes from Briggs easily there. Briggs is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Gold to escape.
Gold has one of Briggs's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage.

Gold wants to control but Briggs postures up.
Gold manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Gold is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Briggs wants to control but Gold is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Gold tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Gold prevents Briggs from improving his position.
Briggs is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Gold tries to stand and escape but Briggs is controlling the position.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
A lazy left from Gold finds it's target.
Gold slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Gold lands with a nice body punch.
Gold scores with a punch to the head.
Briggs takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Briggs is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gold.
It appears Gold was looking to counter with a kick there.

Briggs tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Gold paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Gold dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Briggs. That did some damage!
Briggs shoots in for a takedown but Gold shows good takedown defense.
Gold lands with a kick to the temple. Briggs shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Briggs is rocked!
Gold connects with a body shot.
Gold seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Gold cracks Briggs with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Briggs is still on wobbly legs! Can Gold finish him?
Gold sends Briggs crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Gold is motioning to the referee to let Briggs up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gold goes for a small jab and connects. Now Gold goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Briggs stumbles back but Gold runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Briggs to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Briggs will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Gale Gold!
A very excited looking Gale Gold made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
