Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alden Mccoy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Manki Keen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Alden Mccoy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Manki Keen!
The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Josh West and Jeff Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Keen tries to keep at a distance but Mccoy has taken the fight into the clinch.
Mccoy leaning against his opponent.
Keen is stalling here.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Keen has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Mccoy after a bit of a struggle.
Keen will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Mccoy up against the cage.

Mccoy decides to pull guard.
Mccoy tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Keen pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Mccoy is keeping the position for now.
Mccoy really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Keen is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Mccoy is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Mccoy has escaped and now he's on top!

Mccoy has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Mccoy gets to his feet. Keen looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Keen misses with a telegraphed body shot

and Mccoy counters by clinching up.
Mccoy manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Mccoy is stalling here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Keen has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Mccoy regains guard immediately.
Keen postures up in Mccoy's guard and throws a big left but Mccoy blocks it.

Keen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mccoy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Keen has managed to get both his arms back between Mccoy's legs - danger averted.
Keen stands and throws Mccoy's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Mccoy tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Keen easily slips into full mount!
Mccoy is wriggling around trying to escape.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Mccoy is working hard here to advance position.
Keen thowing shots but they're missing.
Keen throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Mccoy tries to lock up and control but Keen gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Keen looking for a guillotine from mount but Mccoy is having none of it.
Mccoy wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Keen.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Mccoy just holding on.
Mccoy is desperately trying to improve his position but Keen has a good base and remains in mount.
Mccoy flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
Mccoy tries to hold on but Keen pushes him away.
Mccoy is wriggling around trying to escape.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Keen wants to control the pace but Mccoy is squirming around nicely.
Mccoy wants to control but Keen is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Manki Keen dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Keen darts in looking for a takedown but Mccoy gets double underhooks and turns Keen into the cage.
And Mccoy counters with a quick kick to the body but Keen blocks it.
Mccoy stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Mccoy wants it to stay on the feet.
Keen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mccoy but Mccoy pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Alden Mccoy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Manki Keen.

Keen pushes Mccoy up against the cage in a clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mccoy is trying to trip Keen. He has hold of a leg but Keen is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Mccoy persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Keen controls Mccoy momentarily but Mccoy frees himself.
Mccoy wants to stand but Keen has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Mccoy preventing the sweep.
Mccoy has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Keen is proving hard to escape from.

Keen looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Keen is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Keen looking for a triangle here. Mccoy is fighting it but it looks tight! Keen pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Mccoy is tapping out - this one is all over!
