The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Man looks to score with a jab to the body but Boone is just out of range.
Boone drops down looking for a counter takedown but Man sprawls and moves away.
Man takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Man slips under a jab from Boone.
Man closes the distance looking to clinch
enabling Boone to counter with a crisp jab.
Man tries to close the distance and clinch but Boone swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Man tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Boone manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Man walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Man takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Boone shoots in and bounces Man off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Boone sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Man's guard.
Nice strikes from Boone there.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Boone scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Man missing with punches from the bottom.
Boone slows the pace down in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boone passes to side control.
Boone is looking to take a break and control but Man is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Boone scores with a couple of short elbows.

Boone has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Man is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Boone yanks on the arm and Man is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Boone.
