Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lynn Duran (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kallen Potvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Lynn Duran has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Lynn Duran seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Lynn Duran! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kallen Potvin! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Robert Douchet and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Potvin closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Duran wants to control but Potvin postures up. Duran is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Potvin prevents Duran from escaping the position. Potvin wants to control but Duran is keeping him busy. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Potvin working the body and head with strikes.
It looks like Lynn Duran has been cut. Duran might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Potvin controlling the position from side mount. Duran tries to buck Potvin off but Potvin is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Potvin decides to stand back up. Potvin steps back and let's Duran get back to his feet. Duran gets caught napping as Potvin dives in and scores a takedown. Duran manages to retain guard. Duran preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Duran looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Potvin slips nicely into half guard. Potvin keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Potvin trying to pass the guard but Duran defending well. Duran pushes Potvin off but Potvin dives into side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Potvin postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Duran is not content to let Potvin control the position. Duran is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Duran being controlled for a moment. Duran tries to buck Potvin off but Potvin is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Potvin working the ground and pound. Potvin trying to control the position but Duran is working away. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Duran is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Duran is trying to control Potvin's posture but Potvin avoids it. Potvin trying to control the action but Duran is working from the bottom. Potvin has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Duran tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Potvin easily slips into full mount!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Potvin is in the full mount, landing strikes. Potvin wants to control the pace but Duran is squirming around nicely. Duran tries to hold on but Potvin pushes him away. Potvin controlling from mount. Potvin working away from the top, dropping strikes. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Duran tries to hold on but Potvin postures up. Potvin controlling from the full mount. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kallen Potvin dominated that round. The cut man is working on Lynn Duran's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Potvin closes the distance and clinches. Potvin has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Duran misses with a short punch on the inside. Potvin pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Duran with a poor takedown and Potvin decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Duran's guard.
Duran is rocked! Potvin postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Duran covers up, he's hurt! Potvin keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Potvin and the ref steps in to end the fight! Potvin can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kallen Potvin!
