Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Andy Gillespie (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Danny Tatum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Andy Gillespie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 30 - 20 - 0, fighting out of London, Danny Tatum!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gillespie throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Tatum.
Tatum tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Gillespie counters with a straight right hand.
Gillespie throws a push kick but Tatum slaps the foot to one side.
Tatum throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gillespie on the side of the head.
Gillespie is looking to slow Tatum down with leg kicks.

Tatum throws out a loose jab but Gillespie uses good head movement to avoid it.
Gillespie throws a leg kick that misses.

Gillespie has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

Gillespie swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Tatum misses with an uppercut.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Gillespie, right into the meat.
Tatum changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Gillespie tries to avoid it but Tatum manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Gillespie to the ground. Gillespie escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gillespie looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.

Gillespie fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Tatum on the side of the head.
Gillespie throws out a leg kick but Tatum moves out of range and Gillespie only half commits.
Gillespie lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Tatum has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Gillespie fakes the leg kick and cracks Tatum in the body.
Tatum moves into range and connects with a jab.
Gillespie gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Andy Gillespie is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Tatum throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gillespie on the side of the head.

Tatum changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

That kick from Gillespie tenderised Tatum's leg. Tatum is trying to keep his angry face on.
Andy Gillespie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tatum catches Gillespie with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Tatum walks forward, straight into a front kick from Gillespie.
Gillespie tries to score with a low kick but Tatum moves his leg out of the way.
And Tatum tries to counter it with a takedown but Gillespie pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Gillespie fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Tatum has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Gillespie.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Gillespie feints and then cracks Tatum's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Tatum down.
Gillespie takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tatum tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gillespie swivels and escapes.

Good leg kick by Gillespie there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Gillespie takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
A looping hook to the body misses from Gillespie. Tatum does a little dance to reset his feet.
Tatum lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Tatum tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Gillespie manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Tatum stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gillespie swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That was a close second round but I would say that Andy Gillespie will probably get the nod.
