Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kantaro Hoshino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Puukko Bulevardi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bulevardi has chosen Northern Kings - They Don't Really Care About Us as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 3 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kantaro Hoshino!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Puukko Bulevardi!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Albert Achterberg and Daniel Blasius.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hoshino throws a looping overhand right but Bulevardi ducks down to avoid it.
Bulevardi shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hoshino pinned against the cage. Hoshino gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Hoshino is looking to counter punch.
Bulevardi looks to score with a jab to the body but Hoshino is just out of range.
Bulevardi misses with a wild body shot.
Bulevardi swings widly with a right hand
and Hoshino connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hoshino tries to close the distance and clinch but Bulevardi swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hoshino throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Hoshino fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bulevardi manages to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hoshino gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Bulevardi to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hoshino seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Hoshino controls Bulevardi momentarily but Bulevardi frees himself.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Bulevardi turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Bulevardi manages to end up in side control.
Hoshino is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Bulevardi swings around for an armbar but Hoshino sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Bulevardi's guard.

Bulevardi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
