Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Spenser Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nihat Jack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nihat Jack has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Spenser Steel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nihat Jack!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Jorge Garcia and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jack throws a nice outside leg kick.
Steel shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jack sprawls well. Jack wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Steel gets slowly back to his feet.
Jack throws a right and a left that Steel avoids nicely.
Jack lands a body shot.
Steel tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Steel on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Jack. Jack obviously looking to wear him down.
Jack uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Steel has time to react.
Steel fails to land the takedown.
Jack pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Steel back to the cage. Jack follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
A nice leg kick lands there from Jack.
Jack moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jack throws a series of strikes that have Steel backpedaling.
Steel dives in for a single leg takedown but Jack sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Steel is breathing heavily.

Steel moves forwards but Jack connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Jack has managed to clinch.

Steel is in a tricky position. We've heard reports from his gym mates at that he's been drilling escapes, so let's see if he can get back to his feet.
Jack is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Steel trying to keep a closed guard but Jack is proving a slippery customer.

Steel jumps guard but Jack stands there with Steel around his waist. Steel gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Jack escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Steel shoots in looking for a takedown but Jack manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Steel's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Jack pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Steel back to the cage. Jack follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Jack goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Steel on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Jack has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Steel is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Jack closes the distance and pushes Steel back into the cage.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!


Steel tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Jack defends well and Steel ends up having to push Jack into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Despite the aggression on Jack's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Jack throws a quick inside leg kick.
Steel shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Jack as he avoids it easily.

Jack gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Jack lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Steel using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Jack has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Jack lands a good knee to the midsection. Steel won't want to take too many of those.

Jack breaks the clinch.

Jack closes the distance and pushes Steel back into the cage.

Jack's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jack clinches up with Steel and pushes him back against the cage.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Jack closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Steel to the mat! Steel manages to get full guard.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jack is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Jack stands up from Steel's guard - Jack perhaps looking for a knockout.
Jack lands the left hand.
Sloppy strikes from Jack. Those never looked like landing.
Spenser Steel is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Steel is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Jack pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Steel looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Jack feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Steels jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Jack moves to clinch but Steel breaks away
and Steel counters with a three punch combo that has Jack backing up. Jack nods at Steel to acknowledge the strikes.
Jack keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jack moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Steel throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jack.
Jack scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jack will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Steel tries to close the distance and clinch but Jack swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Steel takes a swing at Jack's ribcage but misses.
Jack scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Jack is working the combinations to good effect here.
Jack looks to land a combination. Steel sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

Steel stuffs the takedown attempt from Jack. Jack gets slowly back to his feet.

Nihat Jack showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Steel. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Steel is defended easily by Jack.
Steel doesn't manage to clinch there - Jack circles away.
Steel tries to clinch but Jack is having none of it.
Jack lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Jack is looking to slow Steel down with leg kicks.

Steel looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

Steel goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Jack stalks Steel and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Steel's face. Steel staggers backwards, shaken.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Jack throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Jack's jab looks to have found its range, popping Steel under the eye.
Jack fails with an attempt to clinch.
Steel shoots in for a takedown but Jack shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Spenser Steel has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Nihat Jack is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Nihat Jack comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jack has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
