PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kevin Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adolf Rudrick (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Adolf Rudrick told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rudrick uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Brown.
Rudrick should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

and Brown decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Rudrick's guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rudrick can do anything to dispel that myth.

Rudrick shoots in looking for a takedown. Brown tries to sprawl out of it but Rudrick keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brown manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

so Rudrick counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Brown holds on and takes a little breather.
Rudrick won't allow Brown to sweep him here.
Brown will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
