Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fernand Mondego (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tyrese Gibson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Fernand Mondego! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tyrese Gibson! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gibson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Mondego wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. A looping hook to the body misses from Mondego. Gibson does a little dance to reset his feet. Gibson tries to clinch up but Mondego circles away and keeps his distance. No luck with that takedown attempt from Gibson. Gibson misses with a straight left. Mondego attempts a counter takedown but Gibson avoids it well and moves away. Gibson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Gibson has his takedown stuffed and Mondego moves into the clinch. Mondego is trying to trip Gibson. He has hold of a leg but Gibson is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Mondego persists though and gets the takedown into guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Gibson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Mondego's corner is telling him to maintain position. Mondego seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Gibson for as long as he can get away with.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mondego cracks Gibson with a solid left hand. Mondego is working Gibson over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Gibson trying to control the position.
Mondego slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Mondego passes into half guard. Mondego is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mondego working Gibson over with strikes. Mondego lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Mondego frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Mondego working away from the top, dropping strikes. Mondego dominating with strikes here. A nice elbow there by Mondego.
Gibson is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Mondego loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Gibson scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Mondego land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Mondego stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fernand Mondego!
