The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carpenter has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Bag.
We've been hearing reports that Carpenter has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Bag shoots in and bounces Carpenter off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Carpenter might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Carpenter pulls Bag in close to prevent any damage.
Carpenter manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Bag manages to get himself to full guard.
Bag wants to stand and escape but Carpenter is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carpenter slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Carpenter trying to mount his opponent but Bag defends it.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Carpenter in particular looking to stall.
Bag is defending against the submission attempts here by Carpenter.

Carpenter uses his free foot to push down on Bag's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bag.

Bag tries to control the position but Carpenter now has his back.
Carpenter working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Bag is doing well to defend. Carpenter seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Bag is forced to tap and this one is over!
