Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between William Smith (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Dixon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jeff Dixon was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Smith rushes Dixon and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Dixon with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Dixon throws a knee to the head but misses.
Dixon using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Smith has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Smith is trying to trip Dixon. He has hold of a leg but Dixon is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Smith persists though and gets the takedown into guard. Smith with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
It looks like Jeff Dixon has been cut. Dixon working a defensive guard here.

Dixon is rocked! Smith works over Dixon with some ground and pound from guard. Dixon is still in real trouble! Can Smith finish him? Dixon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smith. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Smith distracts Dixon with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Smith connects with a couple of short punches. Dixon looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it. Smith makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Smith postures up in Dixon's guard and throws a big left but Dixon blocks it. Hammerfist, elbow! yells Smith's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Smith has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Smith decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Dixon, up you get! Dixon tries to clinch up and Smith counters with a double leg that slams his opponent to the canvas! Dixon is in trouble here! Smith pounds away until the ref steps in to end the bout!
