Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Sonne Engel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Jyllendael!
The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Russell Pearce and Dean Styles.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Jyllendael.
Engel lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Jyllendael circles away quickly and effectively.
Jyllendael ducks under a wild hook from Engel.

Engel lands with a good body shot.
Engel misses with a looping right.
Engel jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Jyllendael fails with a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jyllendael fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Engel avoids it really well and circles away.
Sonne Engel has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jake Jyllendael.
Engel lands a jab to the nose.

An inside leg kick lands from Engel.
Jyllendael looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Engel throws a right and a left that both miss.
Sonne Engel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jyllendael is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Engel throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Jyllendael on the side of the head.
Jyllendael tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Engel swivels and escapes.
A combination from Engel does no damage.
Engel dips to his left and cracks Jyllendael with an uppercut!
No luck for Jyllendael with that takedown attempt.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Engel misses with a straight left.
Jyllendael tries to score a power double leg takedown but Engel sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jyllendael somewhat.
Engel lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Jyllendael shoots for a takedown but Engel saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jyllendael has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Engel.

Jyllendael throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Engel tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Jyllendael is in Engel's guard.

Jyllendael postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Engel is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Jyllendael, into his guard.


Jyllendael is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Engel rolls with it to try and escape but Jyllendael cranks on the arm and Engel is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
