The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The crowd cheers as James lands an impressive looking overhand right. De Vos doesn't seem phased though.

De Vos lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but James circles away quickly and effectively.

James has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

James tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but De Vos was well out of range. Poor timing from James.

James pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces De Vos back to the cage. James follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
De Vos throws a series of strikes that have James backpedaling.

James throws a big counter combination but De Vos scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
This has been an exciting period of action!

De Vos drops James with a beautiful combination! James stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - De Vos is looking for the KO!

De Vos batters James with a massive right followed by a huge left! James is out on his feet looking like a zombie as De Vos lands a final crushing right hand to drop James to the mat with a gruesome thud! De Vos is running around like a mad man after that fight and for good reason!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Jonas De Vos!
An out of breath Jonas De Vos thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
