Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Wagner Zegers and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Escargesa moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Escargesa gets caught napping as Palmer dives in and scores a takedown. Escargesa manages to retain guard.
Palmer in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Escargesa not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Escargesa wants to sweep here but Palmer controlling him for the moment.

Escargesa throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Palmer escapes and throws Escargesa's legs to the side, diving into side control!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Escargesa tries to bench press Palmer off him but Palmer keeps the position.

Palmer is putting a hurting on Escargesa here, landing some big shots from side control.
Palmer blocks the strikes from Escargesa.

Escargesa takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Escargesa tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Palmer presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Escargesa is still in real trouble! Can Palmer finish him?
Escargesa tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Palmer loads up with a big shot that hurts Escargesa! He's pulled Palmer in close but Palmer has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Escargesa survive? More strikes from Palmer and Escargesa is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Leland Palmer!
