Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rick Showtime (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gugo Ograni (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Showtime comes into the arena with Old Toms Hut blaring out of the sound system. Ograni has chosen Ameno - Era as his entrance music. Gugo Ograni will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 14 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Rick Showtime! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
30 - 14 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Gugo Ograni! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Viktor Lagutenko and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ograni circles away from the clinch attempt and Ograni counters with a lovely shot to the body. Showtime is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Showtime misses with a kick to the body and Ograni counters with a stiff right hand. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Ograni!
No joy there for Showtime, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Ograni scores with a one two! Showtime had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Sloppy strikes from Ograni. Those never looked like landing. This has been an exciting period of action! Showtime wants to clinch and Showtime takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Showtime misses with a double jab.
Ograni drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Showtime defends it well. Showtime tries to clinch but Ograni moves away and Ograni counters with a shoot takedown. Showtime fights it but they end up in guard. Showtime being controlled here, momentarily. Ograni trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Showtime not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Ograni stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Showtime swivels though and keeps the full guard. Showtime looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Ograni slips nicely into half guard. Ograni content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Showtime is staying active underneath Ograni, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Ograni is working for a kimura but Showtime is defending it quite comfortably.
Showtime is trying to stand.
Ograni moves into full mount! Showtime won't be happy about that! Showtime might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Ograni has control of Showtime's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Showtime regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Ograni tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ograni jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Showtime is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Showtime and Ograni has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Showtime tries to bench press Ograni off him but Ograni keeps the position. Ograni is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Showtime is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Ograni tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ograni has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ograni working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Ograni is trying to get an arm triangle but Showtime is defending well. Ograni has hold of Showtime's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Showtime tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Ograni cranks the arm and Showtime screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Showtime, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Gugo Ograni! A very excited looking Gugo Ograni made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
