Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Gunner State Jr. (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zbynek Taticzek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). and Zbynek Taticzek. Taticzek has chosen Feuer Frei as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gunner State Jr.!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Zbynek Taticzek!
The judges for this bout are Sam Margolis, James Glass and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
State Jr. bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
State Jr. swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.

State Jr. shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Taticzek napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Taticzek is looking to reverse the position.
Taticzek sneaks back into half guard.
Taticzek trying to control but State Jr. postures up.

State Jr. is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Taticzek looks like he's trying to stand up.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Taticzek is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.
Taticzek is trying to maintain the position but State Jr. is very close to passing his half guard.

Taticzek won't allow State Jr. to pass to mount.
Taticzek wants to control but State Jr. is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Taticzek desperately trying to maintain half guard.
Taticzek is staying active underneath State Jr., who seems content to just control the action from this position.

State Jr. is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Taticzek has managed to free his arm - good work.
Taticzek is not content to let State Jr. control the position.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Taticzek trying to control but State Jr. postures up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
A looping hook to the body misses from Taticzek. State Jr. does a little dance to reset his feet.
Taticzek scores with a one two! State Jr. had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

and Taticzek counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Taticzek tests State Jr.'s chin there with a solid looking shot.
State Jr. tries to clinch up but Taticzek circles away and keeps his distance.
State Jr. takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
We've been hearing reports that State Jr. has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
State Jr. misses with a takedown attempt - Taticzek sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Taticzek throws out a loose jab but State Jr. uses good head movement to avoid it.
State Jr. ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Taticzek is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by State Jr..
Gunner State Jr. seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
State Jr. shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Taticzek as he avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gunner State Jr.. That's going to take a lot out of him.
This has been an exciting period of action!
State Jr. tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Taticzek defends well and State Jr. ends up having to push Taticzek into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
State Jr. ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
State Jr. dives in for a single leg takedown but Taticzek sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Taticzek ducks down and throws a hook to the body but State Jr. moves away.

A jab lands there for State Jr..
State Jr. fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
State Jr. backing away here, and Taticzek unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
State Jr. uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Taticzek.
Taticzek lands a slapping body shot.
State Jr. fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
State Jr. takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Taticzek fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Taticzek.
State Jr. slips under a jab.
Taticzek lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Taticzek circles away from the clinch attempt.
Taticzek throws the left hand but State Jr. avoids the punch easily.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
State Jr. fails to land the takedown.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
State Jr. takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
State Jr. takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Taticzek throws a looping overhand right but State Jr. ducks down to avoid it.
Taticzek scores with a hook to the body. State Jr. takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Taticzek connects with a leg kick. State Jr. looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Taticzek sizes up State Jr. with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Good leg kick by Taticzek there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Taticzek swinging wildly here.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zbynek Taticzek dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

It seemed like Taticzek was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
State Jr. is trying hard to land a takedown here. Taticzek sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Taticzek throws a body punch but State Jr. moves out of range.
State Jr. changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Oooooh!!! Taticzek has knocked State Jr. down with a huge combo! Taticzek steps away and waves a wobbly State Jr. back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!


State Jr. is rocked!


It looks like Gunner State Jr. has been cut.
Taticzek works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Oh State Jr. is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
State Jr. will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
State Jr. seems to have got his legs back now.
State Jr. tries to clinch there but Taticzek circles away.
Taticzek appeared to try and counter that last move with a leg kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Taticzek lands with a hook. State Jr. tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Taticzek lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

Taticzek throws a jab when State Jr. was well out of range.
Taticzek throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
State Jr. tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Taticzek cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
State Jr. gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Taticzek counters with an outside leg kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Gunner State Jr.. That's going to take a lot out of him.
State Jr. takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Taticzek drops State Jr. with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but State Jr. looks back up at him and smiles so Taticzek waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Taticzek dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Taticzek lands a nice leg kick that just misses State Jr.'s sensitive parts.
Taticzek will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

State Jr. missing with a left hand there. Taticzek was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Taticzek stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
State Jr. slips under a jab from Taticzek.

Taticzek gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Taticzek has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Taticzek's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!

Taticzek wants to stand but State Jr. is controlling the position.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Taticzek is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Taticzek has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Taticzek has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
State Jr. shoots for a takedown but Taticzek saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Taticzek feints and then cracks State Jr.'s leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow State Jr. down.

enabling Taticzek to counter with a crisp jab.

State Jr. fails with the takedown
and Taticzek connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
State Jr. misses with an uppercut. Taticzek saw that one coming.
Taticzek was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
This has been an exciting period of action!
State Jr. tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Taticzek defends well and State Jr. ends up having to push Taticzek into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
State Jr. takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Taticzek cracks a nice hook into State Jr.'s ribs.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zbynek Taticzek showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The cut man is working on Gunner State Jr.'s cut.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!



Taticzek cracks State Jr. with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Taticzek has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning State Jr. to stand back up!
State Jr. shoots in but no luck this time.
Taticzek doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
State Jr. shoots in looking for a takedown. Taticzek tries to sprawl out of it but State Jr. keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Taticzek manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

State Jr. is hobbling a little on that front leg after taking quite a few leg kicks so far in this fight.

State Jr. shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Taticzek defends it nicely.

Taticzek throws an overhand right that drops State Jr. like a sack of potatoes! Taticzek dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
