Carolla is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Gotta Get It On from Taboo 2. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 31 - 26 - 3, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bud Macintosh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 52 - 48 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Adam Carolla!
The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Felipe Paraventi and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macintosh doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Carolla throws a big shot that misses.
Macintosh tries to counter with a takedown but Carolla is quick to defend against it.
Macintosh looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
The fighters circling - Carolla throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Macintosh is looking to counter punch.
Carolla tries to clinch but Macintosh moves away

and Macintosh counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Carolla!

Macintosh goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Carolla has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Macintosh but great work by Carolla.
I've been told that Carolla has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game.
Macintosh is looking for a sweep.
Macintosh gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Carolla prevents Macintosh from improving his position.
Carolla trying to control the pace.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Carolla seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Macintosh does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Carolla takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Macintosh moves into full guard.
Macintosh looking for a sweep. Not yet Macintosh, not yet.
Carolla looking to pass the guard.
Carolla wants to get up but he can't break Macintosh's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Carolla stopping the sweep attempt from Macintosh.

Macintosh is looking to cinch up a triangle. Carolla throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Macintosh's body to avoid the submission. Macintosh has instead reached around Carolla's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Macintosh arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Bud Macintosh!
A relieved looking Bud Macintosh thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
