The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thrill throws a looping overhand right but Chaves ducks down to avoid it.
Thrill misses with a straight right.
Chaves has a takedown stuffed.
Chaves misses with a takedown attempt - Thrill sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
No luck for Chaves with that takedown attempt.
Kim Jong Thrill has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Marco Chaves.
Chaves shoots for a takedown but Thrill saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Chaves scores with a one two! Thrill had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Thrill stuffs the takedown.

Thrill walks forward, straight into a front kick from Chaves.
Chaves misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Thrill swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Thrill thows a left - swing and a miss!
Thrill throws a jab when Chaves was well out of range.
Nice takedown defense from Chaves. No joy for Thrill on that attempt.
Thrill keeps the fight on the outside.
Chaves shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Thrill counters with a shoot takedown. Chaves fights it but they end up in guard.

Thrill pushes down on Chaves's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Thrill working the head and body with strikes.
Thrill passes to full mount!
Chaves looks gassed!
Chaves is controlling an arm, preventing Thrill from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Thrill looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.

Thrill tries to control but Chaves wriggling away.
Thrill controlling the position easily from mount.

Thrill is working for a guillotine from mount but Chaves frees his head quite easily.

Thrill looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Thrill is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Chaves is surviving well by controlling Thrill's body position as best he can.

Thrill is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Chaves is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Chaves flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Thrill anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Chaves and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Thrill slips an arm under Chaves chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Thrill has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Thrill is squeezing on Chaves like an anaconda would it's prey. Chaves fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!
