Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Zach Lockwood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raphael Roberto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Zach Lockwood! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Raphael Roberto! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Edson Gomes and Matheus Silva.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lockwood feints a jab promting Roberto to slip. Lockwood then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Roberto slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Lockwood shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Roberto moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Lockwood trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lockwood being controlled here momentarily. Roberto wants to improve his position but instead Lockwood has moved into half guard.
Lockwood is looking for submissions but instead, Roberto has regained full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Roberto tries to land a sweep but no joy. Roberto trying to control the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Lockwood sitting in guard, not really doing much.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Roberto shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lockwood as he jumps to the side. Roberto should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Lockwood drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Lockwood is pushing down on Roberto's leg trying to pass to half guard. Roberto is fighting to maintain full guard but Lockwood has managed to sneak the leg through. Roberto is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Lockwood is looking to advance position but Roberto won't allow it. Roberto has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Lockwood is on him like a limpet, forcing Roberto back against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lockwood pulls guard successfully.
Roberto connects with a couple of short punches. Lockwood is looking to sweep but instead, Roberto has passed into half guard.
Lockwood is staying active underneath Roberto, who seems content to just control the action from this position. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Roberto connects with a nice short shot to Lockwood's temple. Roberto wants to control but Lockwood is keeping him busy. We've been informed that Roberto has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight. Roberto working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Lockwood wants to get back to full guard. Roberto seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Lockwood trying to control from the bottom.
Well, if Roberto is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lockwood on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Roberto is looking for a kimura here.

That was a close round but I would say that Zach Lockwood will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Lockwood shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Lockwood was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Roberto can't do much from the bottom here. Lockwood wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Roberto, who protects the arm well. Lockwood knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Roberto on the ground. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lockwood decides to take the fight back to the feet. Zach Lockwood is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lockwood tries to clinch but Roberto moves out of range. Lockwood tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Lockwood shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Lockwood was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Zach Lockwood overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Roberto is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. The fighters are battling for position here. Roberto manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Lockwood wants to control from the top but Roberto keeps moving. Roberto is looking to cinch up a triangle. Lockwood throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Roberto's body to avoid the submission. Roberto has instead reached around Lockwood's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Roberto arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Raphael Roberto!
