Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Leslie Saunders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charlie Moore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Charlie Moore!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Andrew Berry and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saunders throws a sloppy head kick and Moore moves out of range easily.
Saunders keeps the fight on the outside.
It appears Saunders was looking to counter with a kick there.

Saunders tries to sprawl but Moore drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Saunders won't allow Moore to pass to mount.
Saunders is positioning himself well to prevent Moore advancing to mount.
Moore is pressing down on Saunders's thigh, looking to free his foot. Saunders is holding on for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Moore is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Moore is looking to take a break and control but Saunders is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Moore is wriggling around but Saunders manages to pass to half guard.

Saunders jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Moore manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Moore decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Saunders is doing well to avoid being mounted. He's controlling the position at the moment.

Saunders moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Saunders manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Moore manages to get himself to full guard.

Moore decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Saunders keeps control of the position for the meantime.
Saunders moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Saunders bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Moore's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Saunders has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Saunders gets to his feet. Moore looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Saunders swats away the attempt to clinch by Moore.
Moore throws a left and a right that both miss

and Saunders counters with a shoot takedown. Moore fights it but they end up in guard.

Saunders decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Moore, up you get!
Moore is breathing heavily.
A head kick by Saunders misses
and Moore counters with a left to the body.
Charlie Moore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Saunders throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Saunders counters by moving into the clinch.

Moore turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Moore manages to end up in side control.
Saunders is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Moore off and has taken his back!
Saunders controls the action.
Moore tries to roll but Saunders sticks to his back.
Saunders has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Moore's body.
Saunders is not going to allow Moore to sit and survive in this position.

Saunders has good solid back control here.
Saunders's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Saunders.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Moore wants to clinch.

Leslie Saunders overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Moore is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Saunders is just riding it out for now. Moore eventually gives up the hold.
Moore takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Saunders is controlling Moore's trapped leg to prevent Moore from advancing to side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Moore drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Saunders struggling a bit here.

Moore is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Saunders is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Moore is looking to take a break and control but Saunders is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Saunders is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Saunders manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Saunders manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Moore manages to get himself to full guard.


Saunders stands up and waves to Moore to follow him.

Moore gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Saunders to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Saunders decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Saunders shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Saunders looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Leslie Saunders.
Well Saunders has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
