The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Frazier throws a hook but Kim blocks it. Kim connects with a single shot there. Frazier has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight. Frazier looks to land a left hand but Kim moved out of range nicely. Kim half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Frazier fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Frazier slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Kim connects with a body shot that sends Frazier's belly button to the back. Kim slips under a jab. Kim throws a shot from downtown. Frazier moves away and avoids it. Kim slips under a jab from Frazier. Kim dodges the punch combination from Frazier.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A telegraphed right hand from Frazier misses the target. Sloppy strikes from Frazier. Those never looked like landing. Frazier takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Frazier misses with an uppercut. Kim saw that one coming. Frazier misses with a right hand and Kim counters with a shoot takedown into half guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Kim is working for a kimura but Frazier is defending it quite comfortably.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ground and pound from Kim. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Kim connects with a nice short shot to Frazier's temple. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Kim trying to pass the guard but Frazier defending well. Frazier is staying active underneath Kim, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Kim sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Frazier defending well though. Kim trying to mount his opponent but Frazier defends it. Kim is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Frazier is just riding it out for now. Kim eventually gives up the hold. We've been hearing that Kim has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Kim seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Frazier is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
