Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Raul Briega!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Alexandre Firmino and Daniel Cesar.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Briega fails to land the takedown.
Briega shoots in but no luck this time.

and Kidd counters with an outside leg kick.
Harold Kidd has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Raul Briega.

Briega gets caught napping as Kidd dives in and scores a takedown. Briega manages to retain guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Briega has his foot on Kidd's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kidd works his way back into a safe position though.

Kidd fires out a quick counter leg kick but Briega just manages to avoid it.
Briega looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Kidd is fending him off so far but Briega persists. Nope, Kidd circles away and we're back to standing.

Briega takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Briega drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Kidd manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Briega has Kidd in his guard.
