Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
17 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Dante Silva!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Freddy Lee!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva blocks a head kick by Lee.
Lee throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Silva sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Nice jab there from Silva.
Lee bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Silva's head backwards.
Lee takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Lee takes one to the side of the head.
Silva moves out of range of the body kick from Lee.
Lee throws the kick towards the body but Silva avoids it.
Silva scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
It looks like Freddy Lee has been cut.
Lee has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Silva slips under a jab from Lee.
Lee goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Silva lands a head shot.
Silva dips to his left and cracks Lee with an uppercut!
Lee throws a low kick but Silva avoids it.
It looked like Silva was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Lee.
Lee lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Lee throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
The fighters circle momentarily. Silva darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Lee throws a sloppy head kick and Silva moves out of range easily.
A slapping body kick lands there for Lee.
Silva scores with a jab to the jaw.
Lee is rocked!
Silva has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Bruize Brothers in the buildup to the fight.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lee walks straight into a right hand from Silva - that's dropped him! Silva jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Lee from any more punishment! Lee complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:07 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Dante Silva!
A very excited looking Dante Silva rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
