The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McFinnigan takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Roach misses with a head kick.
McFinnigan cracks Roach with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Roach has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Roach is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by McFinnigan.
Bartholomew Roach seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McFinnigan fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Roach looks to land a combination. McFinnigan sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

McFinnigan walks forward, straight into a front kick from Roach.

Roach lands a big right hand that sends McFinnigan crashing to the mat! Roach stays standing though and waves McFinnigan back to his feet!

McFinnigan is rocked!
Roach cracks McFinnigan with a left hook right on the temple and McFinnigan goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Roach lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully McFinnigan is OK!
