Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Martin Louis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Crillo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Louis's entrance music is Stand up and Fight. A fine choice. Crillo comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Solonen & Kosola - Kolmetoista kertaa kovempi ku kukaan kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the lightweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
24 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Martin Louis! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
25 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Frank Crillo! The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Good standup being displayed there by Louis as he connects with a hook. Louis sizes up Crillo with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Crillo shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Crillo is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Crillo throwing strikes but missing. Louis is trying to control the position but Crillo postures up. Crillo preventing the sweep. Louis is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Louis is adopting a defensive guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Louis looking to hit a scissor sweep but Crillo is one step ahead there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crillo throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. Crillo postures up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Crillo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Louis tries to avoid it but Crillo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Louis to the ground. Louis escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Louis is looking to counter punch. Crillo shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Louis as he avoids it easily. Crillo avoids the head kick by Louis.
Crillo closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Louis did well to prevent Crillo getting side control. Crillo missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Louis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Crillo is working away from the top position though. Crillo not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Crillo seems to be looking for submissions.
Louis wants to improve his position but Crillo is controlling well.
Crillo thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Louis tries to get to full guard but Crillo has control of the leg. Crillo throwing shots but Louis is blocking nicely. Crillo throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Crillo trying to pass the guard but Louis defending well. Crillo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Crillo is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Louis wants to control but Crillo is keeping busy and won't allow it. Louis gets full guard. Crillo keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Louis's head. Crillo working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Crillo slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Louis is on top in guard.
Crillo isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Louis stacks Crillo on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Louis!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Crillo tries to bench press Louis off him but Louis keeps the position. Louis is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Crillo's shoulder. That is not cool. Louis wants to stand but Crillo is controlling his arm. Crillo tries to bench press Louis off him but Louis keeps the position. Louis trying to control the action but Crillo is working from the bottom. Louis remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Frank Crillo will probably get the nod. That's time! Louis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Louis slaps away a takedown attempt from Crillo, before circling back to the center of the mat. Louis instigates a clinch. Louis misses with the head strike.
Louis working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Louis tries to throw a body punch but Crillo avoids it by throwing Louis back against the cage. Louis misses with a punch on the inside.
Louis can't find room to land a body shot as Crillo controls the action.
Louis tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage. Crillo looking for a takedown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A head punch on the inside from Louis fails to land. Crillo blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Crillo goes for a takedown attempt but Louis pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Martin Louis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Crillo. Louis throws out a loose jab but Crillo uses good head movement to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Crillo checks a low kick from Louis. Crillo fails with the takedown. Crillo takes one to the chin there. Crillo closes the distance and clinches. Crillo is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Louis pulls him back up using the underhooks. Louis lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Crillo backwards. Still in the clinch, Louis scores with a nice short uppercut. Crillo is trying to drag Louis to the mat but Louis just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. A short right from Louis on the inside. Crillo gets double underhooks and manages to take the fight to the ground. Louis looking for a sweep. Not yet Louis, not yet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Louis holds on and takes a little breather. Louis wants to sweep but no luck. Crillo trying to control but Louis is working from the bottom. Crillo is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Crillo missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Louis looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Louis pulls Crillo in close to his closed guard and prevents Crillo from doing any damage or advancing position. Crillo postures up and lands a big shot to Louis's brow.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Crillo trying to control the position from guard on top but Louis is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Crillo with a flurry of punches that miss. Crillo stopping the sweep attempt from Louis.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Louis throws a body shot but no joy. Martin Louis is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Crillo fails with a takedown attempt. Louis throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Crillo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Louis sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Louis misses the shot to the body. Crillo is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Crillo dives in for a single leg takedown but Louis sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Louis misses the shot to the body. Crillo fails with the takedown and Louis counters with a nice uppercut. Louis digs a good hook to Crillo's body.
Crillo closes the distance and clinches up with Louis, looking for a takedown. Crillo pushes Louis against the cage but Louis circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Louis ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Crillo moves away. Frank Crillo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Louis defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Crillo. Louis gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Crillo to score an easy takedown into full guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Louis keeping moving, preventing Crillo from controlling successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Crillo shoots in for a takedown but Louis shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Crillo fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Louis throws a leg kick but Crillo sees it coming and checks it nicely. Louis clinches up against the cage. Louis tries to work over Crillo's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Crillo blocks an uppercut.

Crillo is pressing down on Louis's thigh, looking to free his foot. Louis is holding on for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Louis controlling the leg, holding on to half guard. Louis trying to get back to full guard but Crillo takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!
That's one minute gone in the round. Crillo lands a big elbow. Louis is looking to get to half guard. Crillo has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Louis's face.
Crillo jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Louis manages to avoid the submission attempt. Louis parries the strikes from Crillo easily there. Crillo is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Louis to escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Louis is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. Crillo in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. Louis is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Louis is trying to improve his position. Crillo cracks Louis with a big right hand but Louis just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Crillo is working to tighten his grip on Louis's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Louis has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Crillo is really squeezing tight and eventually Louis passes out! Crillo breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Frank Crillo! Frank Crillo is the new lightweight champion! A relieved looking Frank Crillo thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
