Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Victor Stoic!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bryan Mills!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, John Kavanagh and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stoic dives in and grabs Mills's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mills pushes down on Stoic's head and hops out.
Stoic shoots in looking for a takedown. Mills tries to sprawl out of it but Stoic keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Mills manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Stoic backing away here, and Mills unleashes a leg kick that just misses.
Stoic definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Stoic tries for a takedown but Mills circles away easily
and Mills counters with a low kick, right behind Stoic 's knee.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Victor Stoic. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mills lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.


It looks like Victor Stoic has been cut.
Mills defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Stoic.
Mills cracks the inside of Stoic's front leg.

Mills is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Stoic in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Mills takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Stoic looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!

Mills working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet.

Stoic wants to get back to his feet.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Mills keeps control of the position as Stoic tries to break free.
Stoic is trying to stand back up.
Stoic trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Mills struggling to keep hold of the position.
Stoic knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Mills on the ground.
Stoic is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Mills's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Mills might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Stoic haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Stoic is trying to get back to his feet but Mills has full control of the position and if anything, Stoic has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Mills controlling the position well here. Stoic rolled but Mills kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Stoic chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Mills can pounce on him.

and Mills counters with a low kick, right behind Stoic 's knee.

Mills scores with a jab to the jaw.
Mills thuds a left hand into Stoic's body.
Stoic dives in and grabs Mills's left leg, looking for a takedown. Mills pushes down on Stoic's head and hops out.
Mills slaps away a takedown attempt from Stoic, before circling back to the center of the mat.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Victor Stoic. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Mills stuns Stoic with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Victor Stoic is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Mills, as that shot connected.


Stoic is rocked!
Stoic darts in looking for a takedown but Mills gets double underhooks and turns Stoic into the cage.
Oh Stoic is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Mills connects with a body shot that sends Stoic's belly button to the back.
Mills throws a monster overhand right that drops Stoic! Mills follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bryan Mills! Bryan Mills retains his lightweight title!
Bryan Mills decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
