PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Vegas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Duke Nukem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vegas's entrance music is Jack Vegas by MNEMIC. A fine choice. Jack Vegas has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Duke Nukem!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Frank Dennis and Daniel Franklin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nukem drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Vegas is trying to strike from the bottom but Nukem has passed into full mount.
Nukem tries to control but Vegas wriggling away.

Nukem has hold of Vegas's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Vegas manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Vegas tries to lock up and control but Nukem gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Nukem fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Nukem tries to pass the half guard into mount. Vegas knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
Nukem looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Vegas with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Vegas stands and steps away. Nukem gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Jack Vegas has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Duke Nukem.

Vegas manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Nukem manages to get himself to full guard.

Vegas is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Nukem still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Nukem has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!
