Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Magnus Tomonaka!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Kelvin Parker!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Anthony Taglia and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tomonaka lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Parker takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Parker darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Tomonaka is trying to get back to full guard.
Tomonaka is positioning himself well to prevent Parker advancing to mount.

Parker is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Tomonaka has managed to free his arm - good work.
Parker passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Tomonaka!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tomonaka holds on for dear life.

Parker goes for an armbar but Tomonaka turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Tomonaka.

Parker tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Parker looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Tomonaka sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Tomonaka trying to control but Parker is working from the bottom.
Parker looking for a sweep. Not yet Parker, not yet.
Parker has a closed guard, preventing Tomonaka from standing up.

Parker has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Tomonaka can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Tomonaka is stalling in the full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Tomonaka trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Parker looking for a sweep. Not yet Parker, not yet.
Tomonaka slips nicely into half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tomonaka is taking a breather. Parker says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Tomonaka wants to control but Parker is keeping him busy.
Tomonaka content to control rather than advance.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Parker misses with a hook
and Tomonaka counters with a straight right hand.
Parker looks to throw the jab but Tomonaka is out of range.
Parker throws a hook but Tomonaka blocks it.
Parker swings widly with a right hand
and Tomonaka counters with a stiff right hand.
Parker throws a poor cross that misses
and Tomonaka counters with a good low kick that Parker was not able to check.
Parker misses with a body shot.
Nice defenses there by Parker.
Parker tries to close the distance and clinch but Tomonaka swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Parker lands with a straight right. Tomonaka didn't see that one coming.


Tomonaka is rocked!


It looks like Magnus Tomonaka has been cut.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Crack! Parker connects with the perfect overhand right and Tomonaka falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Parker!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:08 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kelvin Parker!
After winning the bout, Kelvin Parker thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
