The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marx takes a swing at Alkofer's ribcage but misses.
Alkofer throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Marx was covering up waiting for the punch and Alkofer finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Alkofer tries to free his leg and advance position but Marx is retaining full guard.
Alkofer is still trying to improve position.
Marx is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Alkofer rolls with it to try and escape but Marx cranks on the arm and Alkofer is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
