Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between The Beast (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paha Hemmo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, The Beast! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Paha Hemmo! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hemmo misses the shot to the body. Beast throws a looping overhand right but Hemmo ducks down to avoid it. Beast looks to score with a jab to the body but Hemmo is just out of range. Hemmo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Beast. Nice shot lands for Beast. Hemmo walks into a stiff left hand from Beast. Hemmo gets a double leg takedown into Beast's guard. Hemmo trying to move into half guard but instead Beast has managed to sweep! Beast trying to control but Hemmo is working from the bottom. Beast loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Hemmo throws his legs up looking for a submission but Beast uses it to pass to side control.
Beast throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hemmo tries to improve position but can't.
That's one minute gone in the round. Beast landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Beast in side control, throwing shots but Hemmo defends. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Beast cracks Hemmo with a big elbow. Beast sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Hemmo is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Beast has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance. Beast working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Hemmo is trying to escape the position but Beast is controlling the position. Beast throwing strikes but missing, from side control. Hemmo is looking for a sweep. Beast lands a nice forearm strike. Beast tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Beast has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Beast wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Hemmo, who protects the arm well. Hemmo manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Hemmo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Beast's head. Hemmo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Beast does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Beast trying to control but Hemmo postures up.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Beast is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hemmo is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Hemmo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Beast is just riding it out for now. Hemmo eventually gives up the hold.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hemmo wants to control but Beast is keeping him busy. Beast has hold of Hemmo's hands but Hemmo slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Hemmo is thwarting Beast's attempts to control the position. Beast tries to roll over but Hemmo keeps him under control. Hemmo not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Beast tries to get to full guard but Hemmo has control of the leg. Hemmo looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Beast keeps control of the position for the meantime. Hemmo looks to land a strike but Beast avoids it nicely and regains full guard. Hemmo trying to control but Beast is working from the bottom. Hemmo throws a big elbow that misses. Beast pulls Hemmo in to control the position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Hemmo shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hemmo showed some decent athleticism there. Beast wants to control but Hemmo is keeping busy and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that The Beast will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Beast throws out a loose jab but Hemmo uses good head movement to avoid it. Hemmo feints the counter takedown. Beast bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Hemmo tries to bench press Beast off him but Beast keeps the position. Beast scores with a couple of short elbows. Beast scores with a couple of short elbows. Hemmo is trying to improve his position. Beast will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Beast in side control, just content to control the action for now. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hemmo wants to control but Beast postures up. The Beast overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Hemmo is looking for a sweep. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Beast working the head and body with strikes. Hemmo tries to get back to half guard but can't. Hemmo takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Beast cracks Hemmo with an elbow. That is naaassty. Beast is looking to take a break and control but Hemmo is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hemmo is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Beast is one step ahead and moves to full mount! Beast lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Beast looking to control but Hemmo is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hemmo taking shots to the head.
It looks like Paha Hemmo has been cut. Beast wants to control the pace but Hemmo is squirming around nicely. Beast controlling the pace for now. Beast is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Hemmo can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Beast lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Beast is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hemmo can do to turn this around? Beast looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

The Beast dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Paha Hemmo's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!
Hemmo thows a left - swing and a miss! Beast was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Hemmo dives in and grabs Beast's left leg, looking for a takedown. Beast pushes down on Hemmo's head and hops out. Beast changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Hemmo looks to throw the jab but Beast is out of range. An attempted straight right counter from Beast misses the target. Hemmo throws a lazy uppercut
and Beast counters with a stiff right hand. Beast takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Hemmo comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. Beast slips under a jab. Beast swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Beast throws a left and a right that both miss
and Hemmo counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Hemmo misses with a takedown attempt and Beast counters with a lovely shot to the body. Beast darts in looking for a takedown but Hemmo gets double underhooks and turns Beast into the cage. Hemmo ducks under a wild hook from Beast. Beast lands an overhand right. A big right from Beast misses. Beast comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Beast misses with a looping left. Hemmo jabbing away but nothing is landing.

The Beast seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Beast throws a poor cross that misses
and Hemmo connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Hemmo checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time. Beast swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Hemmo drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Beast defends it well. Hemmo looks to land a right hand but Beast moved out of range. Hemmo throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Beast swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hemmo scores with a hook. Beast fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hemmo manages to avoid it. Beast ducks under a wild hook from Hemmo. Beast jabbing away but nothing is landing. Beast steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hemmo. Beast ducks down and throws a hook to the body. A swing and a miss from Hemmo. Hemmo throws a hook to the side of Beast's head but Beast sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Hemmo tries to sprawl but Beast drives through with a takedown into half guard. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Beast scoring with strikes to the body and head. Hemmo moves into full guard.
Beast is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Hemmo working for a triangle but Beast defends it easily.

Beast tries to free his leg and advance position but Hemmo is retaining full guard. Hemmo has his foot on Beast's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Beast works his way back into a safe position though. Beast is looking to work some ground and pound but Hemmo has wrist control. Hemmo throws his legs up looking for a submission but Beast uses it to pass to side control.
Beast lands an elbow. Beast scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Hemmo to see if he's OK. You can see the frustration on Hemmo's face as Beast controls the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hemmo manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu! Hemmo thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Beast slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Hemmo stopping the sweep attempt from Beast. Beast keeping moving, preventing Hemmo from controlling successfully. Hemmo wants to pass the guard but Beast is keeping the position. Paha Hemmo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Beast is controlling Hemmo's posture. Beast looking to control.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to The Beast. Well Beast has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win...
