Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boyd Sanders (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Percy Rice (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rice has chosen Pretty Boy Percy as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Boyd Sanders! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Percy Rice! The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Steve Montenegro and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rice moves in looking to clinch but Sanders pushes him off. Rice tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Sanders paws at him with a jab and circles away. Sanders shoots in for a takedown but Rice shows good takedown defense. Sanders swats away the attempt to clinch by Rice. Horrible takedown by Sanders or perhaps it was just good defense by Rice which made him look bad. Sanders swats away the attempt to clinch by Rice. Sanders drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Rice pushes Sanders away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Sanders gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Sanders throws an elbow but Rice slips to the side and avoids it well.

Sanders is looking to take a break and control but Rice is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Rice avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Sanders. Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Rice wants to clinch up but Sanders keeps it at a distance. Some bone on bone action there as Rice checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Rice thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Sanders if he has to take too many more of those.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanders gets the takedown into side control. Rice is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Sanders trying to control the action but Rice is working from the bottom. Sanders sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Rice is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Rice wants to get back to his feet but Sanders drags him back down. Rice avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Sanders. Sanders controls the position. Rice is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Rice wants to clinch up but Sanders keeps it at a distance.

Rice connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Sanders's hands. Sanders shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Rice is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanders controlling from the full mount. Rice manages to regain half guard whilst avoiding the strikes. Sanders stops Rice from getting back to his feet.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Sanders scores with a takedown into Rice's guard. Rice is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Sanders postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Sanders prevents Rice from getting back to his feet. Sanders looking to sit in guard and control but Rice gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Rice trying to stand up but can't free himself from Sanders's guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sanders avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Rice moves in looking to clinch but Sanders pushes him off. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Sanders takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Boyd Sanders has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Percy Rice is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Rice fails with an attempt to clinch.
