Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Evan Wilkinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Long (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Frank Long is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Evan Wilkinson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frank Long! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A low kick from Long is predictable there and Wilkinson counters with a single leg into guard. Long didn't expect that. Wilkinson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Wilkinson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Long dives on top into guard. Long won't allow Wilkinson to sweep him here. Wilkinson wants to hit a switch here but Long passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Wilkinson there! Long looking to control but Wilkinson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilkinson really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Wilkinson is working hard here to advance position. Long takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Wilkinson is in all sorts of trouble here.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Wilkinson can't escape the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Long tries to control but Wilkinson wriggling away. Wilkinson wants to hold on but Long pushes him away. Long looking to control but Wilkinson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Wilkinson can't escape the position.
Long is trying to control here but Wilkinson has managed to regain half guard.
Long seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wilkinson does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Long prevents Wilkinson from improving his position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Wilkinson takes one on the button. Long looks to land a combination but Wilkinson avoids it well. Long is looking to chop away at Wilkinson's legs. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Long lunges at Wilkinson with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Wilkinson's hand. A decent looking cross lands there for Long. Long connects with a good right hand that stumbles Wilkinson. Wilkinson circles away out of range and recomposes himself. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Frank Long dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Long lands a head shot. Wilkinson on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those. Long throws a nice looking combination but Wilkinson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Wilkinson seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Long scores with a shot to the body.
Long throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Wilkinson tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Long is in Wilkinson's guard. Long trying to control the position from guard on top but Wilkinson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Wilkinson could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Long wants to get up but he can't break Wilkinson's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wilkinson looking to control.
Wilkinson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilkinson working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Long doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Wilkinson is tightening it up a little... Long has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Long reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Long taps out! Nice BJJ there by Wilkinson!
