Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mikel Obi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Winning Tournament (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Mikel Obi! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Winning Tournament! The judges for this bout are Chris Saunders, Ryoma Takatsuka and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Obi fails with the takedown letting Tournament counter with a right hand. Obi just misses with a punch to the body.
A little jabbing left from Tournament on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. Tournament staying out of range there. Obi scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent. Obi gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Tournament makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tournament throws a shot to the body.
Tournament moves out of range as Obi strikes. Obi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Tournament sees it coming and avoids it easily. And an attempted straight right on the counter from Tournament! But no joy. Mikel Obi seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Obi misses with a straight left.

and Obi counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Obi slips under a jab. Obi throws a big shot that misses. Tournament looks like he wants to counter punch here. A jab from Obi misses. Tournament throws out a counter right but Obi avoids it with no problem. Obi ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Obi fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Tournament looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Tournament misses with a series of wild punches.
Obi throws a shot from downtown. Tournament moves away and avoids it. Tournament doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Tournament has Obi up against the cage in a clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Obi has a couple of punches blocked by Tournament.
Tournament misses with the head strike.
A short uppercut from Tournament. Tournament lands a nice shot to the body. A head punch blocked on the inside by Tournament. Tournament lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Obi. Obi's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tournament's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Tournament misses with a two punch combination.
A looping hook to the body misses from Obi. Tournament does a little dance to reset his feet. Obi with a lazy takedown attempt and Tournament cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Obi misses with a left hand and Tournament counters with a nice body shot. Tournament swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Obi. Tournament slips under a jab. Obi throws a right and a left that both miss. Nice takedown defense from Tournament. No joy for Obi on that attempt. Obi is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Obi is defended easily by Tournament. Obi is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tournament. Tournament throws out a counter right but Obi avoids it with no problem. Tournament has Obi up against the cage in a clinch.
Tournament lands with a left to the head. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Obi swings wildly with an uppercut but Tournament uses good head movement to avoid it. Obi stalling in the clinch but Tournament improves position. Obi tries to break the clinch but Tournament is controlling the position. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Tournament creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Winning Tournament dominated that round. That's time! Obi's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
A shot to the body from Tournament misses and Obi counters with a takedown into side control. Obi in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows. Obi working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Tournament wants to control but Obi postures up. Obi is looking to take a break and control but Tournament is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Obi misses with the ground and pound.

Obi throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Tournament really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Obi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Obi is looking to take a break and control but Tournament is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Obi in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time. That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. The strikes coming from Obi are missing the target in this wave of attacks. You can see the frustration on Tournament's face as Obi controls the position.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Obi fails to land the takedown. A countering left hand to the body from Tournament misses. Obi looks to land a right hand but Tournament moved out of range. A nice side step and Tournament releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home. Obi throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Tournament jabbing away but nothing is landing. Tournament staying out of range there. Tournament swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Tournament misses with a straight left. Obi connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Tournament momentarily.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Tournament clobbers Obi with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. The fighters circle momentarily. Obi darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Obi moves out of range of the strikes. Obi drops down looking for a counter takedown but Tournament sprawls and moves away. Tournament clinches up against the cage. Tournament pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Tournament throws a lazy right hand but Obi sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Obi walks into a jab. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tournament takes a swing at Obi's ribcage but misses. Obi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Tournament looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it. Obi staying out of range there. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mikel Obi dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Obi tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Tournament defends well and Obi ends up having to push Tournament into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch. And that's the end of the fight! Winning Tournament comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Tournament has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
