Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Viktor Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Aires (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Johnny Aires has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Viktor Jones! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Johnny Aires! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Daniel Bishop and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! The fight stays on the outside here - Aires looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Jones shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Jones stays in close to Aires's body and controls the position. Jones lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones postures up.
Jones looking to control the position here, rather than advance. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Aires wants to get back to his feet but Jones is in a dominant position and won't allow it. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Jones controls from within his opponent's guard.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Aires shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense. Aires wants to clinch up but Jones keeps it at a distance. Aires closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Jones did well to prevent Aires getting side control. Jones gets back to full guard.
Jones lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones content to stall in guard here. This is a sustained period of stalling by Jones.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones continues to hold on tight. Jones's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Jones is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Jones avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Aires stalks Jones and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Jones's face. Jones staggers backwards, shaken. Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Aires pinned against the cage. Aires gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Aires changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt. Aires fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Jones looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Aires shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Jones defends it nicely. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Viktor Jones will probably get the nod. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Jones looks to land a combination but Aires avoids it well. Jones sets himself, and Aires steps forward looking for the clinch! Jones avoids it this time. Jones shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Aires napping and manages to drive through into side control! Jones stands up. Jones really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Aires shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jones as he jumps to the side. Jones fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Aires sprawls well initially but Jones persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Aires has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Jones is working away from the top position though. Jones is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Jones is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aires wants to sweep but Jones has passed to side control! Jones is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Aires can do to turn this around? Jones decides to stand back up. Jones steps back and let's Aires get back to his feet. Aires fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Aires dives in and grabs Jones's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes down on Aires's head and hops out. Viktor Jones has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Aires. Jones shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Jones performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Aires pushes Jones off looking to stand but Jones dives back in and keeps control.
Jones looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding. Jones works his way into side control. The referee asks Jones politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Jones prefers to stall for the moment though. Aires takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones working the ground and pound. Aires is working to avoid the ground and pound but Jones connects with a decent elbow. Jones is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Aires's shoulder. That is not cool. Jones moves into full mount! Jones with a couple of short strikes. Jones controlling the position easily from mount. Aires takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Jones has hold of Aires's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Aires manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Aires can do anything to dispel that myth. Jones cracks Aires with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Jones controlling from mount. Aires wants to hold on but Jones pushes him away. Jones has control of Aires's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Aires regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Aires taking shots to the head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Viktor Jones dominated that second round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Jones steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Aires. That one must have hurt. Jones has closed the distance and engaged Aires in a clinch.
Jones wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Aires has him pressed against the cage. Jones drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jones working hard to break the clinch. Aires breaks from the clinch.
Aires goes for a double leg but Jones avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jones continues to drive forward. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A punch combination from Aires misses. Aires wants to clinch. Aires is looking to clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aires dives in for a single leg takedown but Jones sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage. Jones forces Aires back against the cage and clinches. Jones pulls guard successfully.
Aires must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Jones working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Aires doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Aires manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Jones is looking for a triangle but Aires pushes his legs off easily.
Aires trying to control but Jones is working from the bottom. Jones has control of Aires's left arm, preventing Aires from doing any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Jones is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Aires is controlling him. Aires wants to stand but Jones is controlling his posture from full guard. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Jones working for a triangle but Aires defends it easily.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Aires gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Jones to score an easy takedown into full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones is stalling in the full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Jones stops Aires from standing up. Jones is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Jones passes into half guard. Jones lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Aires is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Johnny Aires has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Viktor Jones is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Jones performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
And that's the end of the fight! Viktor Jones showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jones, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
