9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Billy Blumpkin! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Tiny Johnson.

God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Blumpkin is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

enabling Blumpkin to counter with a crisp jab. Blumpkin feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Blumpkin controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Diaz has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Blumpkin doesn't defend quickly enough and Diaz has managed to lock this one up! Can Blumpkin escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Diaz on a fantastic submission victory.
