Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gaius Julius Caesar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Renee LaFleur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Caesar comes to the cage accompanied by Warriors of the World. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Hilo, Renee LaFleur!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Josh West and Ryoma Takatsuka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Caesar slips a straight right by LaFleur.
An inside leg kick lands from Caesar .
LaFleur looks to land a left hand but Caesar moved out of range nicely.
LaFleur misses with a hook

and Caesar counters with a takedown into side control.
LaFleur taking punishment in the form of punches.
Caesar scoring with punches and elbows.
Caesar is working LaFleur over with some ground and pound from side control.
Caesar trying to control the position but LaFleur is working away.
Caesar scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at LaFleur to see if he's OK.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Caesar throws an elbow but LaFleur slips to the side and avoids it well.
Caesar working the ground and pound but LaFleur is defending the strikes.
Caesar has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Caesar is looking to take a break and control but LaFleur is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Caesar postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Caesar in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
LaFleur takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
LaFleur told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

LaFleur tries to improve position but can't.

Caesar scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at LaFleur to see if he's OK.
Caesar advances nicely into full mount.
Caesar looking to finish LaFleur with some ground and pound. This is bad for LaFleur!

Caesar takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Caesar misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Caesar is landing with some decent strikes but LaFleur is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

Caesar throws some wild stikes that LaFleur manages to avoid easily.
Caesar lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.


LaFleur is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Caesar softens up his opponent with a couple of shots there and then CRACK! One massive shot lands there and LaFleur is out cold! Caesar jumps to his feet and celebrates on the cage with the fans, who are, quite frankly, going absolutely mental!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Gaius Julius Caesar !
During a confident post fight interview, Gaius Julius Caesar thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
