The judges for this bout are Josh West, Jeff Smith and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Knight tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Sumerod is able to avoid easily.
Sumerod is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Knight with a body shot.
Sumerod throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Knight takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Sumerod lands a nice looking body shot.
Sumerod tries to sprawl but Knight drives through with a takedown into half guard.
Knight not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Knight is looking for a kimura here.
Sumerod looking for submissions off his back.
Sumerod slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Knight postures up and lands a big shot to Sumerod's brow.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Sumerod has his foot on Knight's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Knight works his way back into a safe position though.

Sumerod looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Knight is defending well. Sumerod quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Knight has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Sumerod celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
