Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Gonsalo Fontes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bartek Rusinowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gonsalo Fontes! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bartek Rusinowski! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rusinowski moves into range and clinches up with Fontes. Rusinowski wants the takedown. Fontes is fighting it off but Rusinowski persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Fontes's guard against the cage. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Fontes trying to control the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Fontes looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rusinowski is one step ahead there. Fontes wants to stand and escape but Rusinowski is having none of it. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rusinowski is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Rusinowski sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Fontes's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fontes on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Fontes is trying to control but Rusinowski passes into side control!
Rusinowski working away. Rusinowski trying to control the position but Fontes is working away. Fontes tries to bench press Rusinowski off him but Rusinowski keeps the position. Fontes manages to work his way to half guard, despite Rusinowski's best efforts. Fontes is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Rusinowski's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Rusinowski's back! The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Fontes's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Fontes avoiding Rusinowski 's attempts to control his hands. Fontes is staying calm and holding on to the back position, whilst working on a rear naked choke. Rusinowski is defending well though. Fontes let's go of the attempt for now. Rusinowski tries to roll but Fontes sticks to his back.
Fontes looking to break Rusinowski's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Rusinowski remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Fontes will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! Fontes looking for the choke from the back. Fontes controlling well, preventing Rusinowski from escaping the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fontes struggling to land strikes to the head as Rusinowski covers up. Rusinowski rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Fontes wants to lay and pray for a moment but Rusinowski keeps working. Rusinowski is looking for a sweep. Fontes is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Rusinowski looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Rusinowski is trying to stand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Fontes trying to control the action but Rusinowski is working from the bottom. Rusinowski is trying to stand.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Fontes working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Rusinowski pushes Fontes off looking to stand but Fontes dives back in and keeps control.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fontes passes the guard and advances to mount! Fontes looking to finish with strikes here!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Gonsalo Fontes will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Fontes tries to close the distance and clinch but Rusinowski swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Fontes falls off balance throwing a combination
so Rusinowski counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Rusinowski trying to control the position from guard on top but Fontes is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Rusinowski is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Rusinowski wants to stand and escape but instead Fontes has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard. Fontes won't allow Rusinowski to sweep him here. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rusinowski trying to keep a closed guard but Fontes is proving a slippery customer.
Fontes is pushing down on Rusinowski's leg trying to pass to half guard. Rusinowski is fighting to maintain full guard but Fontes has managed to sneak the leg through.
That's one minute gone in the round. Fontes wants to stand but Rusinowski has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. Rusinowski is trying to get back to full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rusinowski is staying active underneath Fontes, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Rusinowski looking for submissions off his back. Fontes tries to stand but can't do so whilst Rusinowski controls his leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Fontes is just content to waste time from the top position. Rusinowski takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. Fontes trying to control the position from guard on top but Rusinowski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Fontes is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Fontes is fighting to break Rusinowski's control of his arms but Rusinowski is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Fontes instigates a clinch. Rusinowski turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Rusinowski manages to end up in side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fontes gets back to half guard. Bartek Rusinowski has got the better of the ground game so far. Fontes wants to sweep but Rusinowski has passed to side control! Fontes is trying to control Rusinowski's posture but Rusinowski avoids it. Rusinowski working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Fontes is trying to improve his position. Fontes can't do much from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Fontes pushes Rusinowski away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Rusinowski gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. Fontes is trying to escape the position but Rusinowski is controlling the position. Rusinowski tries to move into full mount but can't pass Fontes's legs. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Fontes on the wrong end of some ground and pound. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

He catches Fontes napping and manages to drive through into side control! Fontes is looking to regain half guard here but Rusinowski keeps moving and retains side control. Fontes being controlled for a moment. Rusinowski tries to get to his feet but he's trapped momentarily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rusinowski is looking to take a break and control but Fontes is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Fontes wants to control but Rusinowski postures up. Rusinowski blocks the strikes from Fontes.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Rusinowski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Fontes. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Rusinowski trying to control the position but Fontes is working away.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Rusinowski throws a body kick that misses. Rusinowski feints and as Fontes raises his hands in defense, Rusinowski changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Fontes trying to control the position.
Fontes looking to hit a scissor sweep but Rusinowski is one step ahead there. Rusinowski looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Rusinowski stops Fontes from standing up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Fontes is pulling down on Rusinowski's head. It's preventing any offense from Rusinowski, at least for the moment. Rusinowski slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Rusinowski has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Rusinowski shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Fontes napping and manages to drive through into side control! Fontes taking punishment in the form of punches.
Fontes is looking to regain half guard here but Rusinowski keeps moving and retains side control. Fontes sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Rusinowski prevents Fontes from improving his position. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Rusinowski not doing much here.
And that's the end of the fight! Bartek Rusinowski comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Rusinowski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
