Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Tomasz Cwiek (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joey Thatcher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Tomasz Cwiek!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Joey Thatcher!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Colin Fotheringham and Andrew Berry.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cwiek checks a low kick from Thatcher.
Thatcher avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Thatcher unleashes a big counter combination but Cwiek bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Cwiek keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Cwiek seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Cwiek looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Thatcher!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Thatcher is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Cwiek asserts his dominance and retains side control.
Thatcher is trying to control Cwiek's posture but Cwiek avoids it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cwiek has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Thatcher gets caught flat footed, as Cwiek shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Cwiek stands up from Thatcher's guard - Cwiek perhaps looking for a knockout.
Thatcher throws a right and a left that Cwiek avoids nicely.
Thatcher scores with a jab.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Thatcher can't break the clinch.
Cwiek breaks from the clinch.

Cwiek clinches up against the cage.
Cwiek's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Thatcher closes the distance and clinches.
Thatcher tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Cwiek scores with a hook to the body.
A bit of stalling here from Cwiek.
Cwiek has clasped his hands together around Thatcher's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Thatcher takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Thatcher manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Cwiek moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Thatcher wants to control from the top but Cwiek keeps moving.

Cwiek decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Cwiek gets a clinch.
Thatcher drags the fight down to the ground.

Cwiek works a leg free and moves into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A low kick from Thatcher misses
so Cwiek counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Cwiek passes Thatcher's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Thatcher is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Cwiek scores with a couple of nice shots.
Still in half guard, Cwiek seems content to control.
Cwiek is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Thatcher is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
