Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Zander Cain (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rock Allen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rock Allen is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Zander Cain!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rock Allen!
The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Saam Ante and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Cain closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Allen's guard.
Allen keeping moving, preventing Cain from controlling successfully.
Cain lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Cain is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Allen pulls his head out easily.
Cain has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Allen is working away from the top position though.

Allen stands up out of the half guard.

Allen goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Allen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Allen throws a series of punches but Cain avoids them all with ease.

Allen fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Cain, pushing him back against the cage.
Allen tries to pull guard but Cain holds him up against the cage and eventually Allen drops back down to his feet.
Cain has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Allen after a bit of a struggle.

Cain is breathing heavily.

Cain is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Allen defends well.
Cain seems to have improved his submission grappling technique since last time we saw him. Let's see if he can pull off a submission.
Allen scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Allen works over Cain with some ground and pound from guard.
Allen lands a couple of elbows.
Allen scoring with some ground and pound.
Allen really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cain. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Allen looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Cain tries to clinch but Allen is having none of it.

Allen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Allen decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Cain, up you get!
Cain shoots for a double leg takedown but Allen sprawls well. He's pushed Cain's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Allen slaps away a takedown attempt from Cain, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Allen drives through and clinches with Cain against the cage.

Allen throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Cain was covering up waiting for the punch and Allen finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Allen just misses with a punch to the body.
Cain tries to score a power double leg takedown but Allen sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Cain somewhat.
Cain takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Allen clinches up with Cain and pushes him back against the cage.
Allen tries to throw a body punch but Cain avoids it by throwing Allen back against the cage.

Allen ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Allen no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Allen wants to stand and escape but Cain is having none of it.

Allen has his feet on Cain's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Allen lands with a kick to the temple. Cain shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

and Cain counters with a two punch combo.
Allen throws a big shot that misses.

Cain is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Allen scores with a couple of nice shots.

Allen looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Allen pushes Cain up against the cage in a clinch.

Allen pulls Cain into guard.
Cain looking to sit in guard and control but Allen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.


Allen gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Cain fails with a takedown attempt.
Allen is looking for the big counter here.
Cain scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Allen will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Cain controls Allen momentarily but Allen frees himself.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Allen throws a right and a left that both miss.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Cain slips a jab and a cross from Allen.
Cain appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Zander Cain is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Allen lands with a thumping leg kick.
Allen swinging wildly here.
Cain tries to counter with a takedown but Allen is quick to defend against it.
Rock Allen seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Cain has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Cain there as he acknowledges the shot.

Allen closes the distance and clinches.
Cain is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Allen pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Allen fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Cain sprawls well initially but Allen persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that's the end of the fight!
Rock Allen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Allen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
