Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between John Lord (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Conor McGregor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McGregor comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Music Foggy Dew – Hypnotize kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Conor McGregor is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lord lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from McGregor lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Lord has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Lord and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

McGregor swings wildly with an uppercut but Lord uses good head movement to avoid it.
McGregor lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.

and Lord counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
McGregor throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Lord stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
McGregor throws a poor cross that misses
and Lord counters with a crisp one two that drops McGregor! Lord thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves McGregor to his feet! McGregor is in big trouble!

McGregor is still on wobbly legs! Can Lord finish him?
Conor McGregor seems to be getting the better of the standup.
McGregor punishes Lord's body with a nice straight punch.
McGregor throws a right and a left that Lord avoids nicely.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fight stays on the outside here - McGregor looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
