Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Boyd Lowe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Auro Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lowe kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is millon dollar driver. Boyd Lowe looks tired to me. Hopefully he has got enough gas left in the tank to put in a good performance.

The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Alan Glass and Robert Twigg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Lowe looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Alves is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Lowe's shoulder. That is not cool.
Let's hope that Alves has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Alves's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Alves shoots in looking for a takedown but Lowe manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Alves's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

It looked like Lowe was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Lowe instigates a clinch.
Our sources have told us that Lowe has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.
Alves jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lowe walks away with a smile on his face. Alves gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

and Lowe counters with a head kick. That will keep Alves thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!
Lowe closes the distance and clinches.

Alves jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Lowe walks away with a smile on his face. Alves gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Lowe rushes Alves and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Alves has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Lowe clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Lowe staying busy and making it hard for Alves to control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Auro Alves dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Lowe works over Alves's head and body with a nice combination.
Alves is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Lowe's half guard.
Auro Alves has got the better of the ground game so far.
Alves is keen to just control but Lowe is a slippery customer.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Alves has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Lowe feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Alves is working an open guard so Lowe takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Alves shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lowe but Lowe pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Lowe drops back, looking for a kneebar! Alves looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Alves looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Alves!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lowe is trying to escape the position but Alves is controlling the position.

The referee asks Alves politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Alves prefers to stall for the moment though.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Lowe is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Alves doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lowe.
