PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rasputin Erasmus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Satoshi Ishii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Erasmus's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Rasputin. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rasputin Erasmus!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Satoshi Ishii!
The judges for this bout are , Jack Bonds and Frank Antenori.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Erasmus swings for the body but Ishii moves out of range.
Ishii avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Ishii changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.
Erasmus misses with a straight left.
Ishii fails with a takedown attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ishii.

Ishii has closed the distance and engaged Erasmus in a clinch.
Ishii drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Erasmus gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Rasputin Erasmus has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Satoshi Ishii.
Ishii's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Erasmus's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Erasmus is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

It looks like Satoshi Ishii has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ishii doesn't manage to clinch there - Erasmus circles away.
Erasmus lands a nice looking body shot.
Rasputin Erasmus is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Erasmus throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ishii stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Erasmus thuds a left hand into Ishii's body.
Erasmus cracks Ishii with a good jab.
Ishii doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Erasmus counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Ishii looks winded!
Erasmus scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Erasmus - that will leave a mark!
Erasmus keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

That has opened up Satoshi Ishii's cut even more.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Erasmus sends Ishii crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Erasmus is motioning to the referee to let Ishii up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Ishii is rocked!

The cut above Satoshi Ishii's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Erasmus is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Erasmus lands a really nice looking cross but Ishii seems unphased.
Ishii is still on wobbly legs! Can Erasmus finish him?
Ishii goes for a double leg but Erasmus avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Erasmus continues to drive forward.
Erasmus was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Ishii seems to have recovered his senses.
Erasmus scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Ishii doesn't seem bothered though.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Erasmus closes the distance and lands a crisp combination that knocks Ishii out cold! Ishii corner are devastated, head in hands behind our commentary position. Poor guys.
