Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Spenser Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamal Mohammed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jamal Mohammed is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Steel gets the takedown into side control.
Mohammed tries to improve position but can't.
Mohammed is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Steel working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Mohammed is looking for a sweep.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Mohammed is trying to work for a sweep but Steel has mounted him!
Mohammed is trying desperately to improve position.
Steel putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Mohammed tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Steel scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Steel looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Steel is breathing heavily.
Mohammed is working to get back to half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Mohammed slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Steel is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mohammed doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Steel.

Mohammed is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Steel is tapping! Great win for Mohammed!

Jamal Mohammed decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
