Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dave Holiday (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Wildemeer Washington (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dave Holiday!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Wildemeer Washington!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Washington moves into the clinch successfully.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Holiday looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Washington pulls Holiday in close to prevent any damage.
Holiday wants to control from the top but Washington keeps moving.

Holiday has gone for a leg lock! Washington slips out almost immediately though and dives into Holiday's guard.

Washington has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Holiday is proving hard to escape from.
Washington is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Washington decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Holiday looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Washington has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Holiday is proving hard to escape from.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

It looks like Dave Holiday has been cut.
Holiday is looking to regain half guard here but Washington keeps moving and retains side control.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
The referee asks Washington politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Washington prefers to stall for the moment though.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Washington throws a right and a left that Holiday avoids nicely.
Holiday half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Washington throws a combination. Holiday tries to block but a couple of punches get through.

Oooh a lovely combination from Washington sends Holiday down but not out. Washington dives into side control looking to finish.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Washington goes for an armbar but Holiday turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Holiday.

Holiday seems to have got his legs back now.
Holiday wants to sweep here but Washington controlling him for the moment.
Washington wanted to stand there but Holiday had control of the position.

Holiday wants to hit a switch here but Washington passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Holiday there!

Holiday tries to get back to half guard but can't.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wildemeer Washington showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Washington is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Holiday defends it well.

Holiday trying to hold on to Washington's head to control him but Washington postures up.
Washington seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Holiday gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Washington to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Washington is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Dave Holiday has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Wildemeer Washington is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Washington stands up and beckons Holiday to his feet.

Washington throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Holiday was covering up waiting for the punch and Washington finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Washington stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Holiday swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Washington is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

Washington avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Holiday looking to hit a scissor sweep but Washington is one step ahead there.

Wildemeer Washington comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Washington has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
