The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schootski takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Savage connects with a solid leg kick.
Savage throws a head kick that misses.
Schootski throws a quick counter kick to the body but Savage avoids it.
Savage instigates a clinch.
Savage misses with a hook from the clinch.
Schootski looking to stall.
Schootski gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Savage.
Savage is trying to trip Schootski. He has hold of a leg but Schootski is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Savage persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Schootski looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Savage puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
Savage passes to full mount!
Savage is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Schootski is surviving well by controlling Savage's body position as best he can.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Savage quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Savage but it's paid off an Schootski is forced to tap! Nice work by Savage.

Jackson Savage spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
