PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Robert Baratheon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sega Genesis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Genesis comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Sonic the hedgehog theme song -by GENESIS kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Baratheon lands a nice shot to the body.
A shot to the body from Genesis misses
and Baratheon counters with a nice body shot.
Genesis shoots in and drives through. Baratheon sprawls well.

Oh, that's a big right hand from Baratheon and Genesis goes tumbling to the canvas! Baratheon follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

It looks like Sega Genesis has been cut.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Baratheon takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Baratheon looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.

Genesis is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Baratheon pulls his head out easily.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Genesis trying to hold on to Baratheon's head to control him but Baratheon postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Baratheon is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Baratheon is thwarting Genesis's attempts to control the position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Baratheon throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Baratheon clinches with his opponent.

Baratheon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Genesis has eaten all the pies!
Genesis gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Baratheon lands with a nice body punch.
Robert Baratheon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Genesis looks winded!
Baratheon scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Genesis doesn't seem bothered though.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Baratheon engages and cracks Genesis with a massive lead left hook - Genesis tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Baratheon is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Robert Baratheon!
In his post fight interview, Robert Baratheon started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
Sega Genesis was interviewed post fight and said 'You cheated. ....using cheat codes isnt fair...'.
