Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Malcolm West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Amos Moses (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Malcolm West! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Amos Moses! The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Micheangelo Fripello and Jeff Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Moses will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. West fails in his attempt to clinch. West really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. West closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Moses did well to prevent West getting side control. West not landing any meaningful shots this time. Moses trying to hold on to West's head to control him but West postures up.
Moses makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Moses. Moses is trying to keep West in close.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. West throws a strike but Moses rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
West will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. West looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Moses's corner is telling him to maintain position. West looking to control but Moses passes into half guard.
Moses with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Let's hope that Moses has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight. Moses seems to be working for a kimura but West defends the submission attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Moses is taking a breather. West says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. Moses passes into side control, despite West's attempt to control the position.
Moses is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but West is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. You can see the frustration on West's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Moses remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. West tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Moses manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Moses steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from West. West tries to clinch but Moses is having none of it. Moses misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. As Moses tries to get set, West tries to push him back and clinch up but Moses manages to avoid the attempt. West tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Moses manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Moses stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Moses wants it to stay on the feet. Moses gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. West drops down looking for an ankle pick but Moses pulls his leg out and moves away.
West shoots in looking for a takedown but Moses manages to keep the fight standing, pushing West's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Malcolm West. That's going to take a lot out of him. Moses fails with the takedown. Moses forces West back against the cage and clinches. West wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Moses has him pressed against the cage. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! West tries to circle away but Moses has him pinned against the cage. Moses can't break the clinch.
West goes for a takedown in the clinch but Moses prevents it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Amos Moses dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Moses fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but West avoids it really well and circles away. West tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Moses manages to circle out of the way. Moses has been the more effective fighter overall so far. West clinches up against the cage. West wants to get back to striking at distance but Moses won't allow it.
West tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Moses's elbow. West is looking to take this one to the mat. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Moses wants to break the clinch but can't.
West has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Moses avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. The referee is keeping an eye on Moses - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

That's one minute gone in the round. Moses tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. West just stands there and leans against the cage. West doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

West goes for a takedown attempt but Moses pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Moses throws an elbow that misses.

West changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Moses fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Moses shoots in and drives through. West sprawls well. West scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Moses holds on to West's head and controls the position momentarily. Moses tries to buck West off but West is having none of it. Moses is breathing heavily. West in side control, throwing shots but Moses defends. Moses avoids any damage from the ground and pound of West. Moses tries to get back to half guard but can't.
That's three minutes gone in the round. West working the head and body with strikes. West lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Moses is looking for a sweep. Moses is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Moses sneaks back into half guard. Moses wants to control but West is keeping busy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Moses wants to stand back up but West manages to pass into side control.

Moses throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Moses gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Moses wants to get back to his feet.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Malcolm West dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Moses changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. West tries to avoid it but Moses manages to keep hold of a leg and drag West to the ground. West escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. West looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger. West leaves Moses with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Moses fails with a takedown attempt. Malcolm West has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Amos Moses. West tries to clinch up. West fails with an attempt to clinch.

West tries to keep at a distance but Moses has taken the fight into the clinch. West's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Moses moves into range and clinches up with West. Moses gets control of West's arms and successfully pulls guard. Moses will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Moses is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Moses avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Moses is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst West is controlling him. Moses looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.

Moses utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Moses has his foot on West's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. West works his way back into a safe position though.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Moses lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Malcolm West has been cut. Moses takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. West slips a jab and a cross from Moses.
Nice takedown defense from Moses. No joy for West on that attempt. Moses closes the distance and pushes West back into the cage. West goes for a takedown attempt but Moses pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
The fight moves into the clinch position. West wants to break free but Moses has control.
Moses has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Moses tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. West just stands there and leans against the cage. West doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
West jumps guard but Moses stands there with West around his waist. West gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
The pace really dropping off here, momentarily. West breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Amos Moses seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. The fight moves into the clinch position. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! West goes for a takedown in the clinch but Moses prevents it.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
And that's the end of the fight! Amos Moses comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Moses has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
