Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Maure (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Richard Tavarius (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tavarius has chosen Go To Sleep, Bitch as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Tavarius clinches with his opponent.
Maure is trying to drag Tavarius to the mat but Tavarius just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
I was talking to Maure's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Tavarius.

Tavarius turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Tavarius manages to end up in side control.
Tavarius scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Maure to see if he's OK.
Tavarius wants to lay and pray for a moment but Maure keeps working.
Tavarius cracks Maure with a big right hand but Maure just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

Tavarius tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Tavarius shoots in and drives through. Maure sprawls well.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Tavarius has managed to clinch.
Maure is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Tavarius is defending well.
Maure tries to circle away but Tavarius has him pinned against the cage.
Maure wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Tavarius has him pressed against the cage.

Tavarius has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Maure is trying to keep an underhook but Tavarius manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Tavarius closes the distance and clinches.
Tavarius has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Maure after a bit of a struggle.
Tavarius lands a left hand that snaps the head of Maure backwards.

Maure escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Maure is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Tavarius pulls his head out easily.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Tavarius ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Maure moves away.
Maure lands a glancing blow to the side of Tavarius's head.
Tavarius leaves Maure with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Tavarius has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Maure fails to land with a series of punches.
Tavarius ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Tavarius drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Maure wants to land a leg kick but Tavarius is out of range.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Tavarius throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Maure connects with a body shot that sends Tavarius's belly button to the back.
Maure defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tavarius.
Dan Maure has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Richard Tavarius.
Maure uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Tavarius.

Tavarius is pressed up against the cage. Maure has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Tavarius down to the mat. Tavarius avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
